Actress and BJP politician Kangana Ranaut has hit back at Rakhi Sawant following the latter’s scathing remarks against her, accusing her critic of trying to “character assassinate” successful women out of jealousy and frustration.
Kangana responded through an Instagram Story on Monday, sharing a report about Rakhi’s remarks and posting a lengthy note targeting the actress.
Without naming Rakhi directly in the opening part of her response, Kangana said successful women are often subjected to personal attacks by people who are bitter about their own failures and ego.
“Not just her but most successful and bitter people are quick to character lynch a successful women to satisfy and justify their jealousy/envy, failures and ego,” she wrote, adding that women should stop feeling humiliated, hurt or compelled to over-explain themselves in response to such attacks.
Kangana then directly took aim at Rakhi, claiming that despite the alleged favours she had received, she could not secure “even a sweeper’s job”.
“So yes my loves!! Even you are ready to do everything for success but guess what!! unfortunately no one needs anything from you,” Kangana wrote, adding that “favours or no favours you aren’t going anywhere”.
Kangana’s response followed remarks made by Rakhi during a podcast, where she made sexual innuendos and derogatory comments while referring to Kangana and BJP leader Smriti Irani and their respective political journeys.
The latest exchange is not the first instance of a public spat between Kangana and Rakhi. During the controversy surrounding CJP protests, Rakhi had reportedly called Kangana a “chudail” and “gutter mouth” while reacting to Kangana’s comments about Gen Z.
The two have previously traded sharp personal remarks in public, with their latest confrontation once again drawing attention on social media.
