Actress Revati Mahurkar has opened up about her experience working with Punjabi singer-actor Harrdy Sandhu in their music video “Tevar”, recalling the career advice she received from him during the project.
Revati said Harrdy encouraged her to be selective about the work she takes up and the people she collaborates with.
“He told me, ‘Be selective about your work. Make sure you work with good artists,’” she shared.
The actress said the collaboration helped her understand the importance of working with talented professionals and being part of a positive creative environment. She praised Harrdy’s approach towards filmmaking and the treatment she received from his team during the shoot.
“After working with Harrdy Sandhu, I understood why it matters who you work with. The calibre of his production, the way his team treated me — I felt equal in every way,” Revati said, adding that the two became friends because of Harrdy’s genuine nature and creative outlook.
She also recalled the camaraderie among the team members during the final phase of filming. After an extended 48-hour shoot, Harrdy, the choreographer, her manager and she spent time together before leaving for Mumbai, sharing conversations, food and music.
Describing the experience as special, Revati said the final output of “Tevar” remains her favourite work so far.
Meanwhile, Harrdy Sandhu is gearing up for his upcoming Punjabi film “Ranjheya”, which also stars Simratt Kaur Randhawa and Angad Bedi. Written and directed by Gurjindh Mann, the film is described as a love story exploring themes of passion, separation, longing and destiny.
Harrdy, who made his acting debut with the regional hit “Mahi NRI” in 2017, has also appeared in Bollywood films including the sports drama “83” (2021) and “Code Name: Tiranga” (2022).
“Ranjheya” marks a collaboration between Shadow Fox Entertainment, Dream Reality Movies and Panorama Studios.
