Rohit Pawar Alleges NEET Re-Exam Paper Leaked Three Days Before Test in Gujarat, Seeks Probe

Mumbai, July 29, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar on Wednesday alleged that the question paper for the NEET-UG re-examination was leaked in Gujarat three days before the test was conducted, and demanded an impartial investigation into the claims.

In a post on social media platform X, Pawar described the allegation as deeply concerning and urged investigative agencies to immediately verify the claims and conduct a comprehensive probe into what he alleged was an organised examination paper leak network.

Along with his post, the NCP (SP) legislator shared documents, including an email thread, which he claimed supported the allegation. He called upon law enforcement and central investigative agencies to examine the timeline of events and identify the source of the alleged leak.

“Following the NEET re-examination that was conducted after the paper leak, new allegations have emerged claiming that the question paper for the re-exam was also leaked from Gujarat three days before the examination. It reflects a complete collapse of exam integrity,” Pawar said.

He further stated that if the allegations were found to be true, those responsible should be identified and prosecuted without any political interference.

“The investigating agencies must immediately clarify the facts. If the paper was indeed leaked, the entire racket must be exposed without yielding to any pressure, and those responsible must be brought to justice,” he added.

The allegations come amid continued political and public debate over irregularities in competitive examinations. Opposition parties have been demanding greater transparency in the conduct of national entrance and recruitment examinations, along with structural reforms in the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The controversy surrounding NEET-UG began after reports of alleged paper leaks and irregularities, including the award of grace marks to certain candidates, prompted legal challenges and widespread protests. The National Testing Agency subsequently conducted a re-examination for affected candidates, while the Ministry of Education handed over the investigation into the alleged paper leak cases to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

According to the report, the CBI has carried out investigations leading to multiple arrests in connection with the alleged paper leak cases in Bihar, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

There was no immediate response from the National Testing Agency, the Ministry of Education or the CBI to Rohit Pawar’s latest allegations.
