The Punjab Government on Tuesday issued orders for the transfer and posting of four IAS officers with immediate effect. The reshuffle includes key administrative appointments in the departments of Information & Public Relations, Health and Family Welfare, and district administration.
According to the orders issued by the Department of Personnel, IAS officer Ramvir, a 2009-batch officer who was serving as Administrative Secretary, Information & Public Relations and additionally Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, has been posted as Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar and additionally Administrative Secretary, Water Supply & Sanitation. He will assume the new charge upon the relieving of Shri Nilkanth S. Avhad, IAS, for Central deputation.
2010-batch IAS officer Ghanshyam Thori, who was serving as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab, has now been posted as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and additionally Secretary, Medical Education & Research in place of Shri Puneet Goyal, IAS. He will continue to hold charge as Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab.
Another 2010-batch IAS officer, Puneet Goyal, who was serving as Special Secretary, Medical Education & Research, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Information & Public Relations and additionally Director, Information & Public Relations in place of Smt. Akshita Gupta, IAS. The orders further stated that Puneet Goyal would continue to look after the work of Administrative Secretary, Information & Public Relations till a regular appointment is made.
IAS officer Akshita Gupta (2021 batch), who was serving as Director, Information & Public Relations, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Rupnagar against a vacant post.
The notification issued by Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha directed all officers concerned to join their new place of posting immediately.
