Hrehaan Roshan, son of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, has opened up about his musical journey and the inspiration behind his debut single, ‘This Heavenly Place’.
The young singer-songwriter and guitarist revealed that he wrote the song in 2024, describing it as a deeply intimate track about commitment, love and the desire to remain immersed in a special moment with someone.
Sharing a black-and-white visual from the song on social media, Hrehaan explained the thought behind the track and said it explores the “exhilarating nature of intimacy” and the feeling of not wanting to leave a shared, dreamlike space with a loved one.
He added that ‘This Heavenly Place’ is the first of four songs that will form an EP project, which he plans to release over the next two months.
The track marks Hrehaan’s debut as an independent artist. His entry into music has received encouragement from his family and friends, including Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan and his grandfather, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan.
Rakesh Roshan previously expressed his pride in Hrehaan’s musical venture, highlighting that the youngster was writing, composing and singing for his own project. He encouraged fans to listen to the song across major music streaming platforms.
Music has long been associated with the Roshan family. Hrehaan’s great-grandfather, Roshan Lal Nagrath, popularly known as Roshan, was a celebrated Hindi film composer. His great-granduncle Rajesh Roshan also established himself as a prominent music composer in the Hindi film industry.
With ‘This Heavenly Place’, Hrehaan is now beginning to establish an identity of his own as a singer-songwriter, separate from his family’s established legacy in cinema and music.
