The Punjab Government has posted IPS officer Suhail Qasim Mir as Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda.
Mir, a 2017-batch direct-recruit IPS officer, was presently serving as AIG, Personnel-1, at the Central Police Office, Punjab.
He has now been given charge of Bathinda district, replacing IPS officer Jyoti Yadav.
Yadav has been transferred from Bathinda and posted as Commandant of the 82nd Battalion, Punjab Armed Police (PAP), Chandigarh.
Following Mir’s move to Bathinda, Mansa SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena has been posted as AIG, Personnel-1, CPO Punjab.
The state government has ordered the new postings to take effect immediately.
