Punjabi actor-singer Tarsem Jassar has given his fans something substantial to look forward to, unveiling a three-film release calendar extending into 2028 under the banner of Vehlhi Janta Films.
The newly shared slate confirms fresh instalments of two established Punjabi film franchises — Rabb Da Radio and Mastaney — while also reserving a March 2027 release date for another project whose title is yet to be revealed.
The first film in the line-up is scheduled to hit cinemas on March 26, 2027. Its title and other details have been kept under wraps for now, adding an element of suspense to the announcement.
Next on the calendar is Rabb Da Radio 4, which has been assigned a September 3, 2027 release date.
The announcement confirms another chapter in the Rabb Da Radio series, a franchise closely associated with Jassar and Vehlhi Janta Films. Details regarding the cast, storyline and other members of the team for the fourth instalment have not yet been disclosed.
The production house has also confirmed Mastaney 2, setting April 14, 2028 as its release date.
The announcement of a sequel is likely to attract particular attention following Mastaney, with the new film taking the franchise forward. The makers, however, have not yet revealed what direction the second instalment will take or disclosed further production details.
Rather than announcing a single project, Jassar and Vehlhi Janta Films have effectively mapped out their theatrical plans for the next two years, signalling a sustained production schedule for the banner.
Jassar accompanied the announcement with the message: “Working harder. Building bigger. The best is yet to come.”
For now, the release calendar provides the principal details: an untitled film on March 26, 2027, Rabb Da Radio 4 on September 3, 2027, and Mastaney 2 on April 14, 2028.
