Vice Chairman Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Punjab, has been nominated to the Panel of Vice Chairmen of the Rajya Sabha. The announcement was made by Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, on the first day of the Budget Session.
As a member of this esteemed panel, Dr. Sahney will preside over and moderate debates and discussions in the House during the ongoing Budget Session. His role will be instrumental in ensuring constructive dialogue, maintaining decorum, and enhancing the efficiency of parliamentary proceedings.
Vice Chairman Dr. Sahney said that it is a great honour to be entrusted with this role. Since becoming a Member of Parliament, I have consistently advocated for the smooth functioning and enhanced productivity of the House. Now, as a part of the Panel of Vice Chairmen, I am committed to ensuring maximum efficiency and meaningful discussions in this crucial session.
