Hollywood actress Demi Moore has credited her daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Willis with teaching her valuable lessons about love, acceptance and self-discovery.
The 63-year-old actress reflected on her relationship with her daughters during a panel discussion with Ali Larter at Step Up’s 2026 Annual Inspiration Awards in Los Angeles.
“I feel like I’ve learned from day one about acceptance. I think that the greatest gift that they have given me is a foundation of love,” Moore said while speaking about her children.
Moore also opened up about her own childhood, saying she “didn’t grow up with a very stable childhood”.
In her memoir ‘Inside Out’, the actress previously wrote about growing up with parents who battled alcoholism and frequently moved the family across the country to avoid debt collectors.
“Being able to have my children see and accept me for who I am, they are, as always, our greatest teachers, our biggest challenges, dare I say. But I think that’s it,” she said.
Moore, who was joined at the event by her daughter Tallulah, jokingly added, “I feel like maybe it’s a fair question you could ask my daughter right here.”
Moore and Bruce Willis were among Hollywood’s most prominent couples in the late 1980s and 1990s. They married in 1987 and welcomed three daughters — Rumer, Scout and Tallulah — before divorcing in 2000.
Despite their separation, Moore and Willis have remained close and have continued to co-parent their daughters. They have also maintained a warm relationship over the years and appeared together at important family occasions.
Willis later married Emma Heming Willis, with whom he has two daughters, while Moore has remained part of the extended family.
