Veteran actress Hema Malini marked Daughter’s Day with a heartfelt message for her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, calling them her “precious treasures” and expressing gratitude for their presence in her life.
Sharing rare pictures with Esha and Ahana on X, Hema Malini wrote that the occasion was a time to appreciate daughters and thank God for the joy they bring to their families.
“My heart goes out in thankfulness to my two precious treasures who are and always have been everything to me. I am indeed blessed to have them in my life,” she wrote.
Hema Malini also extended her message to daughters around the world, urging them to be pillars of strength for their families while remaining independent and strong.
“Be the treasures you are meant to be, pillars of strength and support to your families and yet be independent and strong. God bless you all and may each be a winner in her own right! My precious gems — Esha and Ahana,” she added.
Hema Malini and Dharmendra fell in love while working together in several Hindi films during the 1970s and married in 1980. The couple worked together in films including ‘Sholay’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘Raja Jani’.
They welcomed their elder daughter Esha in 1981 and younger daughter Ahana in 1985.
Dharmendra died at the age of 89 on November 24, 2025, at his Juhu residence in Mumbai after a prolonged illness.
