Actor Bhuvan Bam, who plays legendary freedom fighter Rash Behari Bose in the recently released streaming series ‘The Revolutionaries’, has spoken about how his journey as a YouTube content creator shaped his understanding of passion, humility and righteousness.
Speaking to IANS during the promotions of the show in Mumbai alongside Nikkhil Advani, Pratibha Ranta, Rohit Saraf and Gurfateh Pirzada, Bam recalled the doubts he faced when he started making content on YouTube.
He said people around him initially discouraged him from pursuing the platform, telling him that there was no future in it. Bam, however, chose to follow his instincts and continued working towards his goal.
“I think what the world says about you, if you get entangled in that, you will never be able to come out of it,” he said, reflecting on how he learned to trust his own choices.
Bam said his passion for entertaining people remained a driving force, adding that he wanted to make audiences smile, laugh and cry while experiencing different emotions through his work.
He further said that his YouTube journey taught him “righteousness” through the people he encountered along the way.
“I have met such people, who never said yes to me. No one said to me, ‘You are doing the right thing’. So, I learned righteousness from them. Never consider yourself above anyone else,” Bam said.
The actor also stressed the importance of remembering that circumstances and people can change at any point.
“In this journey, always remember that you don’t know who will come and turn the tables tomorrow. It is wrong to think that we are indispensable,” he said.
Bam added that he had discovered passion and righteousness at different stages of his life, while acknowledging that he still has shortcomings that he hopes to learn from as he continues his journey.
