The makers of Ajay Devgn-starrer “Drishyam 3” on Monday announced the title of the third instalment as “Drishyam: The Conclusion”, signalling that the crime thriller franchise may be heading towards the final chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar and his family’s story.
The makers, along with Ajay Devgn, shared a poster featuring an intense close-up of the actor’s eye. The poster carried the line, “MERA SACH, MERA SAHI, SIRF MERI, FAMILY HAI.”
Sharing the announcement on social media, Devgn wrote, “Har insaan ka nazariya alag hota hai… mere liye meri family hi sab kuch hai,” and announced that the film will release in cinemas on October 2.
“Drishyam: The Conclusion” features Devgn and Tabu in lead roles, along with Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Jaideep Ahlawat and Ishita Dutta.
The film went on floors in December, with shooting beginning in Goa. Abhishek Pathak is directing the third instalment and has also contributed to the screenplay along with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.
The “Drishyam” franchise revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar, a family man who goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his loved ones after his family becomes entangled in a disappearance case involving a police officer’s son.
In the second instalment, released seven years after the events of the first film, the Salgaonkars attempt to rebuild their lives while facing the threat of long-buried secrets resurfacing.
The Hindi “Drishyam” films are remakes of the Malayalam franchise of the same name and have also inspired Tamil, Telugu and Kannada adaptations.
Presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios, “Drishyam: The Conclusion” is backed by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
