Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, model Georgina Rodriguez, in a private civil ceremony in Portugal.
The 41-year-old Portuguese footballer tied the knot with 32-year-old Rodriguez on August 11 in Cascais, according to a press release cited by People.com.
The couple described the wedding as a private and intimate occasion attended by their five children.
Following the ceremony, Ronaldo shared a photograph of the couple’s hands showing their wedding rings on social media, accompanied by the caption, “C (heart emoji) G”.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together since 2017 and announced their engagement in August 2025. At the time, Rodriguez shared a photograph of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s, displaying a large oval-shaped diamond ring.
“Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,” she wrote in Spanish.
The couple share five children — twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughter Alana, daughter Bella and Ronaldo’s 16-year-old son Cristiano Jr., whom he welcomed from a previous relationship.
In April 2022, Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced the death of Bella’s newborn twin brother, Ángel.
Ronaldo first met Rodriguez in 2017 when she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store. The couple made their red-carpet debut at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January that year and later confirmed their relationship publicly on social media.
Ronaldo previously spoke about the early stages of their relationship in Rodriguez’s 2022 Netflix reality series, I Am Georgina. He described her as a “very interesting girl” who was more mature than her age, while acknowledging that he initially did not expect their relationship to last.
The wedding marks a new chapter in the couple’s relationship after nearly a decade together.
