Actress Sara Ali Khan received a warm and playful birthday wish from Kareena Kapoor, who marked the occasion with a family photograph and a glimpse into Sara’s food preferences.
Kareena shared a monochrome picture featuring herself, husband Saif Ali Khan, Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Alongside the photograph, she wrote, “Happy birthday Sara darling…to more pumpkin sabzi and now yoghurts. May your plate always be full…” and tagged Sara in the post.
Kareena married Saif Ali Khan in October 2012. Sara and Ibrahim are Saif’s children from his first marriage to actress Amrita Singh, while Taimur and Jehangir are his sons with Kareena.
Sara has previously spoken about her equation with Kareena, describing her as a friend and a source of support rather than viewing her as a traditional “second mother”. She has also spoken about her close relationship with her mother, Amrita Singh.
Kareena, meanwhile, has said she prefers to be a supportive presence in Sara and Ibrahim’s lives while respecting their bond with their mother.
Sara turned 31 on August 12 and was showered with birthday wishes from family members and friends from the film industry.
On the work front, Sara is gearing up for her next release, ‘Udta Teer’, opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. The film’s release date has been revised to October 9 from the earlier announced September 11.
Directed by Akash A Kaushik, the project marks his directorial debut. It also reunites Sara and Ayushmann after their earlier collaboration ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’, which also featured Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi.
