Human rights organisations have raised allegations of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, claiming that three civilians were killed and three others were taken into custody by Pakistani forces in separate incidents.
Several Baloch rights groups condemned the killing of civilian Inayatullah Jattak in Khuzdar district, alleging that he was targeted by Pakistan-backed armed groups.
According to the Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ), Inayatullah was killed on Tuesday, hours after his daughter Asma Jattak publicly appealed for protection, stating that she and her family members faced serious threats.
In a video statement shared by BVJ on social media platform X, Asma alleged that death squad member Zahoor Jamalzai and his associates had threatened to kill her father and brothers.
Baloch National Movement (BNM) Chairman Naseem Baloch alleged that the killing followed repeated threats against the family. He claimed that Zahoor had earlier been involved in the killing of Asma’s uncle, Ashraf Nichari, and had also allegedly abducted Asma in February 2025.
Shalee Baloch, central organiser of the Baloch Women Forum, also condemned the killing, calling it an example of what she described as a wider campaign of intimidation against Baloch families.
Meanwhile, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) said the bullet-riddled body of 33-year-old Salman Bangulzai was recovered from Newan Koor area of Panjgur on July 31 after he had remained missing for several months. The group alleged that Bangulzai, a shopkeeper, had been forcibly disappeared before his death.
The BYC also alleged that 35-year-old Attahullah Baloch, a resident of Kodask region in Khuzdar, was subjected to enforced disappearance before being killed by Pakistani forces in Panjgur district on June 21.
The rights group claimed that such incidents reflected a pattern of enforced disappearances, alleged custodial torture and extrajudicial killings in the province.
Separately, Paank, the human rights department of the Baloch National Movement, alleged that two brothers, Shahid Bijjar and Fahad Bijjar, were taken away during a late-night raid at their residence in Turbat’s Kech district on Tuesday.
In another incident, student Khalil Ahmed, a resident of Awaran district, was allegedly taken by Pakistani forces from Karachi University. Paank claimed that Ahmed is the nephew of BNM Deputy Secretary General Kamal Baloch and alleged that the incident reflected a pattern of targeting relatives of political activists.
The allegations have not been independently verified.
