Shilpa Shinde celebrates Shreya Kalra’s ‘Lock Upp 2’ win, says she is ‘on cloud nine’

Actress Shilpa Shinde expressed immense happiness after her close friend Shreya Kalra won the reality show “Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa”, saying she was “absolutely on cloud nine” following the victory.

Shilpa, who was among the Top 4 contestants of the recently concluded Netflix reality show, shared a video montage capturing the moment when Shreya was declared the winner and congratulated her on social media.

“I’m absolutely on cloud nine! Words can’t describe how incredibly happy I am as my bestie Shreya won. Many congratulations sweetheart. Very well deserved. Watching you shine fills my heart with so much pride and joy. Love you endlessly, and I couldn’t be prouder of you,” Shilpa wrote in her post.

Shreya lifted the “Lock Upp 2” trophy on August 5, while television actress Shivangi Joshi finished as the first runner-up and Yogesh Rawat secured the second runner-up position.

Shilpa and actor Ram Kapoor, who were considered among the strong contenders of the show, were eliminated just before the finale. In the final stage, the Top 5 contestants — Shreya, Shivangi, Yogesh, Ram and Shilpa — were given a puzzle task. The contestant with the highest number of incorrect pieces was to be eliminated. Ram Kapoor lost the challenge, paving the way for the remaining four finalists to compete for the title.

Shilpa entered the Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan-hosted show as a wildcard contestant. She is best known for portraying Angoori Manmohan Tiwari in the popular television show “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!” and for winning “Bigg Boss 11” in 2017.

In 2017, Shilpa had accused television producer Sanjay R. Kohli of sexual harassment and filed a police complaint amid a dispute related to her exit from “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!”. Kohli denied the allegations at the time, and the matter received widespread attention.

Earlier this year, Shilpa said during a podcast with Bharti Singh that the complaint was not genuine and was made in the context of her contractual dispute with the producers of the television show.
