Actress Kajol celebrated her 52nd birthday with a sweet gesture at the Mumbai airport, where she joined paparazzi members for a cake-cutting moment before boarding her flight.
The actress appeared pleasantly surprised when photographers gathered around and sang the birthday song for her. Overwhelmed by the gesture, Kajol paused her journey to cut a birthday cake with them.
Dressed in a white co-ord set paired with a vibrant pink printed shawl, Kajol looked cheerful as she smiled and interacted with the paparazzi during the celebration.
Meanwhile, her daughter Nysa Devgn chose to stay away from the cameras, allowing her mother to enjoy the spotlight. Nysa was seen carrying her passport and ticket documents while keeping herself out of the frame, maintaining her preference for privacy.
Kajol celebrated her birthday on August 5 and began the special day on a fitness note by visiting the gym. She shared a glimpse of her workout session on social media, posting a picture of herself lifting dumbbells.
The actress also received birthday wishes from several members of the film fraternity, with Bollywood celebrities taking to social media to extend their greetings.
Before heading to the airport, Kajol celebrated her birthday with actor Vatsal Sheth, who shares the same birthday. The two actors were seen cutting cakes in the presence of their families.
The celebration was attended by Kajol’s mother and veteran actress Tanuja, sister Tanishaa Mukerji, and her children Nysa and Yug, who joined in the celebrations as Kajol and Vatsal cut their birthday cakes.
Kajol, who made her acting debut with the 1992 film “Bekhudi”, went on to establish herself as one of Hindi cinema’s leading actresses with memorable performances in films including “Baazigar”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Gupt”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…”, “Fanaa”, “My Name Is Khan”, “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” and “Salaam Venky”, among others.
