The Punjab Government has ordered the transfer and posting of two IAS officers and six PCS officers with immediate effect as part of a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving departmental efficiency.
The orders were issued by the Department of Personnel under the approval of the Governor of Punjab and signed by Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha.
IAS Officers Transferred
Smt. Sonali Giri, IAS (2009)
Presently serving as Managing Director, PUNSUP, and holding additional charge as Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation, Administrative Secretary, School Education, and Administrative Secretary, Higher Education and Languages, Sonali Giri has now been relieved of the charge of Managing Director, PUNSUP. She will continue as Administrative Secretary, School Education and Higher Education and Languages, and Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation.
Shri B. Srinivasan, IAS (2011)
Currently awaiting posting after joining the State of Punjab, Srinivasan’s services have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. He has been appointed Managing Director, PUNSUP, replacing Sonali Giri.
PCS Officers Given New Assignments
Smt. Jashanpreet Kaur Gill, PCS (2014)
Previously serving as Additional Chief Administrator, Patiala Development Authority, Patiala, she has now been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Khanna, against a vacant post.
Smt. Geetika Singh, PCS (2014)
She will continue as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), SAS Nagar, and will also continue holding additional responsibilities as Member Secretary, State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Punjab, and Member Secretary, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board. She has been relieved of the additional charge held earlier by IAS officer Navdeep Singh.
Shri Chetan Bunger, PCS (2023)
Earlier serving as Sub Divisional Magistrate, Amloh, and holding additional charge as Regional Transport Officer, Fatehgarh Sahib, he has now been appointed full-time Regional Transport Officer, Fatehgarh Sahib.
Shri Vishal Wadhwa, PCS (2025)
Serving as Chief Minister’s Field Officer in Kapurthala, Vishal Wadhwa has been posted as Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab.
Shri Arvind Kumar, PCS (2025)
Previously Chief Minister’s Field Officer in Sri Muktsar Sahib, he has been transferred as Chief Minister’s Field Officer, Sangrur, against a vacant post.
Shri Rohit Jindal, PCS (2025)
Currently serving as Assistant Commissioner (General), Jalandhar, his services have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He will be posted as Land Acquisition Collector, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), SAS Nagar.
Immediate Effect and Administrative Objective
According to the official order, all officers concerned have been directed to assume charge at their new places of posting immediately. Authorities stated that the reshuffle aims to streamline administrative functioning and strengthen governance across key departments
