Sikh Advocates of Delhi today submitted a representation to Mr. Vikas Goyal, Secretary, and Mr. Sahil Puri, Additional Secretary, of the Delhi Bar Association, requesting the installation of permanent display boards at every entry and exit gate of the Tis Hazari Courts complex.
The representation urged the Delhi Bar Association to prominently display the historical significance of Tis Hazari in Sikh history, enabling advocates, litigants, visitors, and the general public to become aware of the site’s rich heritage. The proposed display boards aim to preserve and promote this important chapter of history for future generations.
The delegation emphasized that Tis Hazari holds immense historical importance in Sikh history and that installing permanent display boards would serve as a meaningful tribute while fostering greater public awareness of the site’s legacy.
The representation was submitted by a delegation of Sikh Advocates of Delhi comprising Sandeep Singh, Simranjeet Singh, Hansleen Singh, H.S. Hans, Tarunjeet Singh Jolly, Devinder Singh, Navjot Kaur, Paramjeet Singh, J.S. Bedi, Amrit Singh, Advocate, and several other advocates.
The Sikh Advocates of Delhi expressed hope that the Delhi Bar Association will give due consideration to the representation and take appropriate steps to install the display boards at the earliest.
