Filmmaker duo Abbas–Mustan marked Gandhi Jayanti by introducing Amar, Akbar and Anthony, the new-age trio from their upcoming thriller 3 Monkeys.
The makers unveiled the film’s first poster and motion poster on social media, introducing Vishal Jethwa as Amar, Mustafa Burmawala as Akbar and Tenzin Dalha as Anthony.
Drawing inspiration from the philosophy of the Three Wise Monkeys — “Bura Mat Dekho, Bura Mat Suno, Bura Mat Bolo” — the film presents a contemporary mantra: “Sab Dekho. Apni Suno. Bekhauf Bolo.”
Speaking about the film, Abbas–Mustan told IANS, “Our 3 Monkeys Amar, Akbar, and Anthony carry the Sab Dekho. Apni Suno. Bekhauf Bolo attitude. They are mischievous and unpredictable, and they seem to be enjoying what they are doing, even when the situation is dangerous. But with an Abbas–Mustan film, what you see is not necessarily the whole truth.”
The motion poster begins with the familiar imagery of the Three Wise Monkeys before revealing Amar, Akbar and Anthony as three masked men who appear to be involved in a dangerous undertaking. Despite the apparent risks, the trio display a mischievous and carefree attitude.
The film also features Arjun Rampal as Sanjay, whose appearance in the motion poster adds another layer of mystery. Armed and seemingly connected to the three masked men, Sanjay’s exact role remains undisclosed.
It is unclear whether Sanjay is pursuing the trio, working alongside them or involved in a different plan altogether. The makers have kept the plot under wraps, leaving audiences guessing whether the three characters are planning a robbery, a heist or something more complex.
Produced by Allarakha Vohra, Faruk Vohra and Sayeed Vohra, with Anand Tiwari serving as associate producer, 3 Monkeys is directed by Abbas–Mustan and presented by AJ Film Entertainment World.
The film stars Arjun Rampal, Vishal Jethwa, Mustafa Burmawala and Tenzin Dalha. It is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 4, 2026.
