New Delhi, October 2, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The eighth edition of the e-auction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mementos has been extended till October 31, giving citizens additional time to bid for 30 souvenirs, including idols, sculptures and artworks, an official said on Friday.

The auction, which began on September 17, coinciding with the Prime Minister’s birthday, was originally scheduled to conclude on October 2, according to an official statement.

The collection features a diverse range of artworks, devotional objects, handcrafted items and institutional memorabilia, offering bidders an opportunity to acquire unique keepsakes. The proceeds from the auction will go towards the Namami Gange Project, the statement said.

The 30 mementos include nine photo frames, nine other mementos and six idols, sculptures and statues. The collection also features two Delhi Metro models, sports memorabilia, a painting and various art and craft items.

Several items reflect India’s religious and cultural traditions. Four pieces depict Lord Ram or scenes from the Ramayana, including a Ram Darbar sculpture, a brass plaque showing Ram, Sita and Lakshman crossing a river with Kevat, a painting of Saint Dada Dev from Palam village and a carved wooden statue of Ram Lalla.

The collection also includes a representation of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism, known as Ashtamangala. The symbols hold spiritual significance in Buddhist traditions and are associated with the Buddha’s teachings and enlightenment.

Delhi’s institutional heritage is represented through several items, including a framed artwork depicting St. Stephen’s College, a crystal memento of the Old Secretariat building and a textile artwork representing the New Parliament Building.

The auction also features mementos highlighting achievement, public service and personal expression. Among them is a detailed pencil sketch featuring a close-up portrait of Prime Minister Modi, created by a student from Rohini, the statement said.

The discus of Paralympic silver medallist Yogesh Kathuniya represents sporting achievement and perseverance, while the NCC’s gold-polished Param Vir Mati Kalash reflects the spirit of service and remembrance.

Another distinctive item is a portrait meticulously rendered on a natural, skeletonised Bodhi leaf, showcasing artistic craftsmanship.

Details about the auction schedule, participation process and complete catalogue are available on the official PM Mementos e-Auction portal at pmmementos.gov.in.
