Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has arrived in Mumbai from Bali by air ambulance after suffering a spinal fracture in an accident during a work-cum-holiday trip. The actress is set to undergo spine surgery for the injury.
Videos of Bharuccha’s arrival in Mumbai have surfaced online, showing her being transported on a stretcher, accompanied by family members and medical professionals.
The actress had earlier been hospitalised in Bali following the accident and was under medical observation while further evaluations were carried out.
In an official statement issued on her behalf, Bharuccha’s publicist confirmed that she had suffered a fracture in her spine during the trip and that arrangements were being made to bring her back to Mumbai for surgery.
“At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care. We are currently making arrangements to bring Nushrratt back to Mumbai from Bali via an air ambulance, where she will undergo the surgery,” the statement said.
The publicist also said that the actress would need adequate time to rest and recover following the injury and surgery, which is expected to affect her professional commitments over the coming weeks.
“Given the nature of the injury and the surgery, Nushrratt will need time to rest and recover, and her work commitments over the next few weeks are likely to be affected,” the statement added.
The publicist requested that the actress’s privacy be respected during her treatment and recovery, while thanking fans and well-wishers for their concern and support. Further updates will be shared when appropriate, the statement said.
