Grammy-winning singer Miley Cyrus has announced her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, which is set to release on September 18.
Cyrus shared the news on Instagram alongside a black-and-white photograph of herself posing with a rose in her mouth while looking directly at the camera.
“My tenth studio album, BASS PERSUADES, is yours September 18th,” Cyrus wrote, explaining the significance behind the album’s title and the role music has played throughout her life.
“Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between,” she wrote.
“That’s what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album,” Cyrus added.
An influential figure in popular music, Cyrus first rose to fame as a child actor before becoming a global teen star through her portrayal of Miley Stewart in the television series Hannah Montana. The franchise also produced two Billboard 200 chart-topping soundtracks.
Her music career beyond Hannah Montana took off with albums including Meet Miley Cyrus and Breakout. Her hit single “Party in the U.S.A.” became one of the best-selling singles of its era.
Cyrus later embraced trap-pop and R&B with her 2013 album Bangerz, which featured “We Can’t Stop” and her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1, “Wrecking Ball”.
She subsequently explored psychedelic, country and rock influences through albums such as Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, Younger Now and Plastic Hearts.
Cyrus released her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, in 2023, followed by the visual album Something Beautiful in 2025.
Beyond music, Cyrus has appeared in films including Bolt, Hannah Montana: The Movie, The Last Song and So Undercover. She has also been featured in the documentary Miley: The Movement, served as a coach on The Voice and appeared in the Black Mirror episode “Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too”.
