Patna, October 21, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Expelled Janata Dal (United) leader Arvind Kumar Singh, popularly known as Chhotu Singh, has intensified his attack on the party’s leadership, accusing National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha of pursuing a Union ministerial berth and attempting to undermine Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

Singh also threatened to release a video targeting Bihar JD(U) president Umesh Kushwaha, alleging that the state unit chief had arbitrarily expelled party workers without providing explanations.

Singh claimed that he possessed material that would expose Kushwaha and asserted that he and his supporters had played a significant role in securing the latter’s electoral victory. He alleged that a small group of four or five leaders was controlling the party and working against the interests of Nitish Kumar and his son, Nishant Kumar.

The former JD(U) leader also questioned Jha’s electoral standing amid speculation about a possible reshuffle in the Union Cabinet. He claimed that Jha would struggle to win even a village-level election without Nitish Kumar’s backing.

Singh further levelled corruption allegations against several JD(U) leaders, including Lalan Singh, Maheshwar Hazari and Shravan Kumar, and called for investigations into their assets. He questioned how Shravan Kumar had accumulated his alleged wealth over the past decade and claimed that a factory associated with tobacco-related product Gul had been converted into a steel factory.

Contrasting the allegations with Nitish Kumar’s modest residence in Kalyanbigha, Singh argued that scrutiny of the assets of the leaders he had named could lead to criminal action.

Singh, who was expelled from the JD(U) on disciplinary grounds following an argument with Jha, warned that his campaign against the party’s leadership was only beginning and said he was prepared to face the consequences of his allegations.

The allegations against Jha, Kushwaha and the other leaders have not been independently verified. No response from those named was available at the time of reporting.
