Actor Asim Riaz has responded to recent remarks by television actors Rubina Dilaik and Hina Khan, who discussed his conduct and claims about his contribution to the popularity of reality shows during an episode of their podcast.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Asim appeared to target the television personalities without naming them directly.
“I saw another clip from a podcast where these TV industry aunties and uncles were talking about how I bring TRP to every reality show I do. Well, the answer is YES, I DO. Good luck with your careers n keep playing your roles and being puppets in the industry,” he wrote.
The remarks came after an episode of Rubina and Abhinav Shukla’s podcast The4POV, where Hina Khan and her husband Rocky Jaiswal joined the discussion on publicity, controversies and the role of contestants in driving the popularity of reality shows.
During the conversation, the group discussed Asim’s earlier claims about the impact of his participation on shows including Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi and Battleground. Hina referred to an interview in which Asim had spoken about his contribution to the shows’ traction and TRPs.
Rubina, who has worked with Asim on Battleground and Khatron Ke Khiladi, also recalled her experience of working with him. She criticised what she described as his behaviour towards the creative team and crew, alleging that his manner of speaking to them was disrespectful.
Rubina further questioned Asim’s claims about influencing the TRPs of reality shows and described him as having “nuisance value”, while referring to alleged incidents involving his conduct behind the scenes.
Asim’s latest post has once again brought attention to his controversial stint on reality television. He was removed from Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 following a heated confrontation involving host Rohit Shetty and fellow contestants after he failed to complete a stunt.
