India’s Pranavi Urs maintained second place in the women’s individual golf event, while Saptak Talwar slipped from joint third to joint seventh in the men’s competition after the second day of the Asian Games 2026 at the Kasugai Country Club East Course on Thursday.
Pranavi carded a seven-under 63 on the par-70 course to take her two-round total to 11-under 129, following her opening-day score of four-under 66. Chinese Taipei’s Wei-hsuan Wang led the men’s individual standings with a combined score of nine-under 131.
Olympians Diksha Dagar and Aditi Ashok were placed joint 21st and joint 25th, respectively, in the 45-player women’s field. Diksha shot a three-over 73 to finish at four-over 144, while Aditi carded a four-over 74 to reach five-over 145.
India moved up to third place in the women’s team event after finishing joint sixth on the opening day. The Indian team recorded a combined seven-under 273, with the scores of the two leading golfers counting towards the team total.
In the men’s individual event, Talwar shot a two-under 68 to take his total to six-under 134 after two rounds. Veer Ahlawat climbed to joint 16th after carding a two-under 68, bringing his total to one-under 139. Yuvraj Sandhu shot a one-under 69 to reach an even-par total of 140.
India stood fifth in the men’s team event with a two-round total of seven-under 273. Japan led the standings at 16-under 264.
