Legacy Employee Grievances Pending for Decades Resolved, Says Jitendra Singh

New Delhi, July 25, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh on Saturday said the government’s emphasis on transparency, accountability and employee welfare has helped resolve several long-pending service-related grievances that had remained unresolved for nearly 25 to 30 years.

The Minister made the remarks while interacting with a 12-member delegation of the Bharatiya Postal Employees Federation, affiliated with the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh.

According to an official statement, the delegation raised a range of issues concerning postal employees, including service matters, employee welfare, recognition-related concerns and the need for early resolution of pending administrative and legal cases.

Dr. Singh said responsive governance, timely decision-making and sustained administrative reforms have transformed grievance redressal into a key pillar of public administration, ensuring that employees’ issues are addressed in a fair, rule-based and time-bound manner.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and constructive consultations with employee organisations. He added that genuine representations are examined on merit and in accordance with applicable rules, while issues involving multiple ministries require broader institutional consultation to ensure legally sound, transparent and sustainable outcomes.

The Minister also encouraged employee representatives to continue providing documented suggestions and feedback to further strengthen governance and public service delivery.

The delegation appreciated the government’s focus on administrative reforms and said several service-related grievances pending for decades had received attention in recent years. It also noted that improvements in grievance redressal mechanisms, transparency and administrative responsiveness have enhanced employees’ confidence in the system.
