Actor Vinny Arora has clarified that her recent 5.5-hour walk to Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple was an expression of gratitude and not a prayer for her husband Dheeraj Dhoopar’s success in the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa.
Sharing photographs and videos from the journey on social media, Vinny revealed that she walked nearly 35,000 steps over five-and-a-half hours to reach the temple. She also posted a picture of a blister on her foot from the long walk.
“I wasn’t planning to share this. Last week, it was just a quiet journey from my home to Siddhivinayak Temple—5.5 hrs, almost 35,000 steps and countless moments of gratitude,” she wrote.
Addressing speculation surrounding the reason for the pilgrimage, Vinny said it was not undertaken to seek victory for Dheeraj in the Netflix reality show.
“Of course I want the best for him, but a trophy can’t define him. He’s already a winner for many,” she wrote, adding that the walk was her way of thanking God for the blessings her family has received.
“The only prayer I have is that Bappa keeps blessing us, protecting us and guiding us always. Sometimes faith isn’t about wishes. It’s about expressing gratitude,” she added.
Dheeraj Dhoopar is currently among the contestants on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. The reality show features several television personalities competing in a six-week contest.
