Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation Non-Negotiable: CJP after talks with Centre, Discussions to Resume Saturday

New Delhi, July 24, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday held nearly two hours of talks with representatives of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in New Delhi to address the party’s demands related to the NEET paper leak issue. However, the discussions ended without a breakthrough, and both sides are scheduled to meet again on Saturday.

The government was represented by Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Dr Jitendra Singh, while CJP was represented by spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. The meeting took place at the Constitution Club of India.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Nadda said the CJP had placed three key demands and five suggestions for reforms before the government.

“The meeting lasted for almost two hours. The discussions were cordial, and we heard their grievances in detail. We have told them that we will meet again tomorrow,” he said.

CJP, however, maintained its demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, describing it as a non-negotiable issue.

Addressing the media, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said the Centre had sought time until Saturday afternoon to respond to the demand for Pradhan’s resignation. He added that the government had agreed to the party’s other two demands — compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide and withdrawal of legal cases registered against students.

The meeting marked the second round of talks between the Centre and the CJP as efforts continue to resolve the impasse over the NEET controversy.
