Several Baloch human rights organisations have alleged that Pakistani security forces forcibly disappeared six civilians, including a woman and three children, during a raid in Balochistan’s Mastung district, and have called for their immediate recovery.
According to Paank, the human rights department of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), more than 20 Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) vehicles carrying around 60 personnel, accompanied by three masked civilians, raided a house in the Killi Kongarh area on July 21. The organisation alleged that security personnel damaged property during the search before taking six family members into custody.
The missing individuals were identified as 33-year-old Bibi Rafia, her three children aged three months, four years and six years, her brother Muhammad Arif, 40, and her 18-year-old niece Bibi Nida. Paank claimed their whereabouts remain unknown and that authorities have not provided any information to the family.
Describing enforced disappearance as a serious violation of international human rights law, Paank urged Pakistani authorities to disclose the detainees’ whereabouts and ensure their safety.
The Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) also condemned the alleged incident, expressing concern over what it described as a continuing pattern of enforced disappearances involving Baloch women. The organisation appealed to UN Women and other international human rights bodies to intervene and press for the protection of women and children in the region.
Separately, Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) member Sammi Deen Baloch criticised the deteriorating security situation in Balochistan following the killing of Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar. In a post on X, she alleged that the provincial government was projecting normalcy while failing to protect residents and suppressing peaceful dissent.
The allegations made by the rights groups could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate response from Pakistani authorities.
