The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) will organise a special screening of the film ‘Satluj’, based on the life, struggle and sacrifice of renowned human rights activist Shaheed Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra, on July 10 in the national capital.
Announcing the programme, DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka said the special screening would be held at 7:00 p.m. on July 10, 2026, at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall, Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, New Delhi.
Kalka described Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra as one of the greatest champions of human rights, saying he sacrificed his life in the pursuit of truth, justice and the protection of human rights.
He said Khalra’s struggle continues to inspire future generations to uphold the values of truth and justice.
More Than a Film
Kalka said Satluj is not merely a cinematic presentation but an effort to bring before society an important chapter of history that left an enduring mark on the struggle for human rights.
He said the film serves as a tribute to Khalra’s courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to exposing human rights violations.
Public Invited
The DSGMC President appealed to members of the Sikh community, youth, intellectuals and all those committed to the cause of human rights from Delhi and neighbouring regions to attend the special screening in large numbers.
He urged people to join in paying homage to Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra and draw inspiration from his life and his commitment to truth, justice and service to humanity.
The announcement comes amid continuing public debate over the availability of Satluj, which has attracted widespread attention since its release.
