The Punjab Government has appointed Anindita Mitra, IAS (2007), as Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab-cum-Administrative Secretary, Elections (General Elections Wing), with immediate effect.
Anindita Mitra was earlier serving as Administrative Secretary, Higher Education and Languages, while also holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, School Education, and Managing Director, Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB). She has been posted as CEO Punjab in place of Sibin C., IAS.
The appointment has been made in pursuance of directions issued by the Election Commission of India and has been approved by the competent authority.
