Actor and martial artist Vidyut Jammwal has praised India’s youth for demonstrating the true meaning of ahimsa (non-violence), saying their courage, resilience and determination have become an example for generations to come.
In a video message addressed to young Indians, Vidyut said they had shown the country what true non-violence stands for by raising their voices while displaying restraint and perseverance.
“This message is for every young Indian raising your voice. You have shown and explained the meaning of ahimsa (non-violence) for generations to come,” he said.
Drawing from his experience as a martial artist and practitioner of the ancient Indian martial art Kalaripayattu, Vidyut stressed that real strength lies not in inflicting pain but in enduring hardship with courage.
“As a martial artist, I can guarantee one thing—the one who gets beaten up is much bigger than the one who kills. It’s not about how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, stand up and keep moving forward,” he said, concluding his message with “Jai Hind.”
He shared the video on social media with the simple caption: “Jai Hind.”
On the professional front, Vidyut is set to make his Hollywood debut with the upcoming action-comedy film Street Fighter, based on the popular Capcom video game franchise. He is also working on a high-octane Bollywood action film alongside Tiger Shroff, directed by Anubhav Sinha.
