The Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) has announced a revamped national executive as part of an organisational restructuring ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, with party president and Union Minister Chirag Paswan unveiling the new team on Wednesday.
Surendra Vivek has been appointed the new Bihar State President, replacing East Champaran MLA Raju Tiwari. Tiwari has been given a new responsibility as National General Secretary.
The party has also appointed Janardan Paswan as Jharkhand State President. Dhirendra Kumar Munna and Abdul Khaliq have been appointed National General Secretaries alongside Raju Tiwari.
Chirag Paswan will continue as National President and Chairman of the party’s National Executive Committee.
The restructuring gives greater organisational responsibilities to grassroots workers as well as new faces, with the party placing particular emphasis on youth and women’s participation.
According to the party, the changes are aimed at strengthening its organisational network at the grassroots level and improving its preparedness for upcoming electoral challenges. The leadership has also sought to expand the organisation from the state level down to the booth level.
The party said the increased representation of youth and women was intended to strengthen social representation within its organisational structure and reflected the philosophy of its late founder Ram Vilas Paswan, who believed that a political organisation should reflect society.
Congratulating the newly appointed office-bearers, Chirag Paswan said an organisational position should not be viewed merely as a designation but as a major responsibility. He directed the new team to work towards strengthening the party in their respective regions.
The latest organisational changes come as the LJP (Ramvilas) prepares for upcoming Assembly elections and seeks to consolidate its support base through a strengthened grassroots network.
