Actress Simran recently met Tamil Nadu weightlifter Raja Muthupandi and congratulated him on winning a silver medal in the men’s 65 kg category at the recently held Commonwealth Games.
During the meeting, Muthupandi proudly showed his silver medal to Simran, who appreciated his hard work, dedication and determination. She told the weightlifter that his achievement was only the beginning and wished him greater success in the years ahead.
“With this victory, you have already brought pride to India and Tamil Nadu. It is a matter of even greater happiness and pride to see someone from our own state achieve such a remarkable feat on the international stage. With the same determination and perseverance, I wish you continue to achieve many more victories and win several more medals in national and international competitions,” Simran said.
The actress also interacted with Muthupandi about his personal background, asking about his hometown Kovilpatti and his family. When the athlete spoke about his connection to Kovilpatti, Simran shared some of her own fond memories and association with the town.
The meeting concluded with Simran and Muthupandi posing for photographs, with the weightlifter holding his Commonwealth Games silver medal.
Meanwhile, Simran is gearing up for her next film, which also stars Jayaram and Arya. Directed by Sy Gowthamraj, the project is being produced by White Carpet Films and Redacted Studios.
The film recently went on floors with a grand pooja ceremony. Simran had also shared an update about the project on social media, expressing her excitement about working with Jayaram, Arya and the film’s team.
