The makers of the upcoming mythological drama Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha, starring Anjali Arora and Dev Sharma, have released the second track from the film, ‘Ram Ji Ki Sena’, on Saturday.
Dev Sharma, who portrays Lord Shri Ram, said the song captures the faith and collective strength of Lord Ram’s vanar sena as it moves forward to restore dharma over adharma.
“‘Ram Ji Ki Sena’ is about the faith and collective strength with which Ram Ji’s entire vanar sena moves forward to restore dharma over adharma. That unity, courage and sense of purpose make this chapter incredibly powerful,” Sharma said.
Nirbhay Wadhwa, who plays Lord Hanuman, said the track reflects Hanuman’s devotion to Lord Ram.
“For Hanuman ji, devotion to Shri Ram is his strength and his purpose. ‘Ram Ji Ki Sena’ carries that bhakti along with tremendous energy and determination,” Wadhwa said.
The Hindi version of the song has been sung by Farhad Bhiwandiwala, while the Chhattisgarhi version features vocals by Sunil Soni.
The music has been composed by Ashish Donald and Dev Chauhaan, with lyrics by Jaidev Jonwal. Himanshu Rawat serves as the assistant composer, while Deepak Poojary, in collaboration with Chayan Dey, has handled the mixing and mastering.
The choreography for the track has been performed by Hemanshu Kumaar.
Speaking about the Hindi rendition, Bhiwandiwala said the song carries devotion alongside a strong sense of movement and determination.
“The song has a very powerful energy from the moment it begins. There is devotion, but also a constant sense of movement and determination. As a singer, the idea was to retain the bhakti while giving the song the strength and scale that ‘Ram Ji Ki Sena’ demands,” he said.
Soni said recording the Chhattisgarhi version was particularly meaningful as the emotion needed to remain powerful while sounding natural in the language.
“Bringing a song like ‘Ram Ji Ki Sena’ into Chhattisgarhi is very special because the emotion has to remain equally powerful and natural in the language. I wanted the Chhattisgarhi rendition to have its own identity while preserving the spirit and energy of the composition,” he said.
Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha is expected to release in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi on September 25, 2026.
