Actress Mouni Roy marked Janmashtami with a spiritual social media post, sharing glimpses of her meeting with spiritual leader and motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das.
Mouni described her conversation with him as a deeply meaningful experience that left her feeling “happier” and “more fulfilled”.
In the pictures, the actress is seen wearing an elegant white-and-red traditional saree, with her hair tied back and decorated with flowers. She poses alongside Gaur Gopal Das, who is dressed in saffron attire.
Sharing the photographs, Mouni reflected on the conversation and quoted Gaur Gopal Das on the importance of helping others. She described their discussion on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami as cathartic and deeply poetic, adding that some conversations stay with a person long after they end.
Mouni began her entertainment career on television in 2006 with Ektaa Kapoor’s popular family drama Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, in which she played Krishna Tulsi. She has previously recalled that her entry into the entertainment industry happened unexpectedly.
She went on to feature in shows such as Kasturi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev and Naagin. Her portrayal of Shivanya in Naagin established her as one of television’s leading actresses, while her role as Goddess Parvati in Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev also earned widespread recognition.
Mouni showcased her dancing abilities through reality shows including Zara Nachke Dikha and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa before transitioning to Hindi cinema.
Her film credits include Gold, Romeo Akbar Walter, Made in China, London Confidential, Velle, Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, Blackout and The Bhootnii. She has also made special appearances in films including KGF: Chapter 1 and Vedaa.
Meanwhile, Mouni’s name has recently been linked to Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 20. Reports in August claimed that she had been approached by the makers and was being considered as a contestant, although there has been no official confirmation from the actress.
