Celebrated lyricist Prashant Ingole has collaborated with global music icon Descemer Bueno on ‘Hone Do Bailando’, described as the first-ever Indo-Spanish song, which was released on September 4.
Speaking about the collaboration, Ingole said working with the Cuban singer-songwriter was “smooth as silk” and praised Bueno’s understanding of his craft.
“Working with Descemer is smooth as silk. A man who knows his art and his turf, keeps it to the point. I just shared my vision with him, and what I got in return was super amazing, complimenting lyrics in Spanish,” Ingole said.
Conceptualised and crafted by Ingole, ‘Hone Do Bailando’ blends Hindi and Spanish. Ingole has written the Hindi lyrics, while Bueno has penned and performed the Spanish portions. Bueno has also lent his vocals to the track, alongside Flori, who contributes to the song with a powerful vocal performance.
The collaboration brings together two languages and musical traditions, creating a track that aims to bridge geographical and cultural boundaries.
Ingole has previously been credited with several energetic Bollywood numbers, including ‘Party On My Mind’ from ‘Race 2’, ‘Ziddi Dil’ from ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Malhari’ from ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Pal’ from ‘Jalebi’ and ‘Utth Ja Ziddi Re’ from ‘83’.
His work on ‘Gajanana’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ was also part of a musical achievement recognised by Guinness World Records.
Bueno, a Cuban singer, songwriter and musician, is internationally known for co-writing and performing on Enrique Iglesias’ 2014 hit ‘Bailando’. His career has spanned genres including jazz, hip-hop, fusion and Latin pop, and he has also been associated with songs such as ‘Bailando’ and ‘Bailamos’.
