Actress Kiara Advani has described her upcoming film “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” as much more than a conventional fairy tale, saying its making was itself an extraordinary creative journey.
Kiara took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video from the making of the film and reflected on how different creative ideas and talents came together for the project.
“A fairy tale isn’t just what this film is. It’s also what making it was. One string of thought, talent from everywhere, each doing right by their craft, avalanching into TOXIC. ‘Peculiar Alchemy,’ as our Director calls it,” she wrote.
Earlier, on August 18, Kiara had opened up about her experience of working on the film, saying it pushed her beyond her comfort zone and encouraged her to embrace unfamiliar situations.
“Films have a beautiful way of making us step into worlds we’ve never known, sometimes quite literally. Every new character, every new set, every crazy challenge teaches you something you didn’t know you were capable of,” she had written.
The actress added that the experience taught her to remain curious, continue learning and find happiness in challenging situations.
“This one taught me to be comfortable with the unfamiliar, to stay curious, to keep learning and to find joy in the adventure of it all. Because growth, for me, has always been about saying yes to the things that scare you a little… and loving the journey that follows,” she said.
“Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” is a gangster drama starring Yash in a dual role, alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
The film follows Raya, a violent gangster and playboy who rises to power in the underworld before eventually facing a downfall. Years later, he encounters his biological son Rumi, also known as Ticket, who seeks revenge after Raya abandoned him and his wife.
