In a major administrative reshuffle, the Delhi Government has ordered the transfer and posting of 43 IPS and DANIPS officers in the Delhi Police with immediate effect.
The orders, dated August 18, were issued by the Home Department of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi following the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board and with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor.
Among senior officers, Garima Bhatnagar, IPS (1994), Special CP/EOW, has been posted as Special CP/EOW while also being given additional charge of MD/DPHCL. Manish Agrawal, IPS (1996), Special CP/Traffic, has been shifted as Special CP/PSD, while Ajay Chaudhary, IPS (1996) moves from Special CP/PSD to Special CP/Traffic.
David Lalrinsanga, IPS (1995) will continue as Special CP/Operations (PCR & Communication) and has been given additional charge of SPUNER. Atul Katiyar, IPS (1997) moves from Special CP/Vigilance, where he also held additional charge of Welfare & Licensing Division, to Special CP/Welfare & Legal Division.
K. Jegadesan, IPS (1998) will continue as Special CP/Intelligence Division but relinquishes his additional charge of MD/DPHCL. Vivek Kishore, IPS (1999), on transfer from Arunachal Pradesh, has been posted as Special CP/SPUWAC & Licensing, while Sindhu Pillai, IPS (2001), on transfer from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, has been posted as Special CP/Vigilance & Perception Management and Media Cell with additional charge.
Veenu Bansal, IPS (2004) has been posted as Joint CP/SPUWAC & SPUNER. Suman Goyal, IPS (2005) moves from Joint CP/HQ to Joint CP/Western Range, while Rajneesh Gupta, IPS (2005) goes from Joint CP/IFSO to Joint CP/Transport Range.
Jatin Narwal, IPS (2006) has been transferred from Joint CP/Western Range to Joint CP/Special Branch, while Milind Mahadeo Dumbere, IPS (2006) has been posted from Joint CP/Transport Range to Joint CP/Eastern Range, with the posting to take effect from September 1, 2026. Deepak Purohit, IPS (2007) moves from Joint CP/New Delhi Range to Joint CP/Licensing and Nupur Prasad, IPS (2007) from Joint CP/EOW to Joint CP/New Delhi Range.
The reshuffle also brings several officers transferred from other Union Territories and states into key Delhi Police assignments. Ajay Krishan Sharma, IPS (2008), on transfer from Goa, has been posted as Joint CP/HQ. A. Koan, IPS (2009), transferred from A&NI, has been posted as Additional CP/HQ Personnel.
Monica Bharadwaj, IPS (2009) moves from Additional CP/IFSO to Additional CP/Crime, while Sanjay Bhatia, IPS (2010) shifts from Additional CP/HQ Personnel to Additional CP/IFSO. Dinesh Kumar Gupta, IPS (2010) has been moved from Additional CP/Traffic to Additional CP/DPHCL.
Varsha Sharma, IPS (2010), transferred from Goa, has been posted as Additional CP/EOW, while Pratiksha Godara, IPS (2011) moves from Additional CP/DPHCL to Additional CP/Traffic (HQ). Jitendra Kumar Meena, IPS (2012), transferred from A&NI, has been posted as Additional CP/Vigilance.
Nidhin Valsan, IPS (2012) moves from Additional CP/Tech & PI, where he also held additional charge of Special Branch, to Additional CP/Special Branch. A.K. Lall, IPS (2013), transferred from Puducherry, has been posted as DCP/GA.
At the district and DCP level, Raja Banthia, IPS (2014) moves from DCP/North District to DCP/Tech & PI, while Hemant Tewari, IPS (2014) shifts from DCP/South East District to DCP/Special Branch. Vineet Kumar, IPS (2015) moves from DCP/Tech & PI to DCP/South East District.
Manjeet, IPS (2015), transferred from Chandigarh, has been posted as Additional DCP-I/New Delhi District. Niharika Bhatt, IPS (2015) moves from Additional DCP-I/North District to DCP/North District, while Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS (2015), transferred from Chandigarh, has been posted as Additional DCP-I/Shahdara.
Satyawan Gautam, IPS (2016), transferred from Arunachal Pradesh, has been given additional charge as DCP/PCR and Operations.
Sachin Singhal, IPS (2017) moves from Additional DCP-I/West District to DCP/Traffic. Tanushree, IPS (2017), transferred from Jammu & Kashmir, has been posted as Additional DCP-I/Rohini.
Pukhraj Kamal Gupta, IPS (2018), transferred from Mizoram, has been posted as Additional DCP-I/North District, while Lokeshwaran R, IPS (2018), also transferred from Mizoram, has been posted as Additional DCP-I/Outer North District.
Gaurav Tyagi, IPS (2019), transferred from Mizoram, has been posted as DCP/IFSO. Angad Mehta, IPS (2020), transferred from Arunachal Pradesh, gets the posting of Additional DCP-I/Central.
Utkarsha, IPS (2021), transferred from Lakshadweep, has been posted as Additional DCP-I/South East District, while Shweta Chauhan, IPS (2021), presently with ACB, has been posted as DCP/Traffic.
Among DANIPS officers, R. Subhash, on transfer from Puducherry, has been posted as DCP/4th Battalion, while Rajneesh, DANIPS (2011), transferred from Lakshadweep, has been posted as DCP/DPHCL. Manoj Meena, DANIPS (2014) moves from Additional DCP-II/Outer (CDC) to Additional DCP-I/Outer (CDC).
The transfer and posting order has been signed by Santosh D. Vaidya, Principal Secretary (Home).
