Actor Anup Soni has revisited one of the most distinctive roles of his career as his crime thriller “Class of ’83” completed six years since its Netflix premiere.
Soni, known for hosting “Crime Patrol” and his role in “Balika Vadhu”, shared a still and behind-the-scenes pictures from the film on Instagram, reflecting on his experience of portraying a politician across nearly two decades.
“6 years of Class of ’83. One of the most interesting roles I have played,” Soni wrote, thanking director Atul Sabharwal and the entire team for making the project a memorable experience.
The actor said the film allowed him to explore his character through different stages of life, including changes in appearance and personality. He described the opportunity to portray a politician over a period of almost 20 years as a particularly rewarding aspect of the role.
Soni also shared photographs from the sets, including one featuring him with co-star Bobby Deol.
Directed by Atul Sabharwal and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, “Class of ’83” stars Bobby Deol as Vijay Singh, an Additional Director General of Police officer. Geetika Tyagi plays his wife Sudha Singh, while Bhupendra Jadawat portrays Pramod Shukla.
Soni plays Chief Minister Manohar Patkar in the crime thriller, which premiered on Netflix on August 21, 2020.
Reflecting on the experience, Soni expressed gratitude to Sabharwal and the film’s team and urged those who have not watched the movie to check it out on Netflix.
