In a strategic push to bolster its organizational presence at the grassroots level, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab on Wednesday announced the appointment of new constituency incharges for 15 Vidhan Sabha constituencies across the state.
The announcement was made by AAP Punjab State President Aman Arora, alongside senior party leader Manish Sisodia, today. This move marks a critical step in AAP’s pre-election roadmap, aimed at ensuring strong leadership and efficient coordination in each assembly segment.
“These appointments are a reflection of our commitment to building a robust and responsive organizational framework right down to the booth level,” stated the party leadership. “With a strong grassroots structure, we aim to empower local leadership and establish deeper engagement with the public.”
The newly appointed incumbents will be tasked with mobilizing local workers, managing constituency-level campaigns, and coordinating voter outreach activities in the lead-up to the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. They are also expected to play a key role in shaping local political narratives and addressing constituency-specific issues.
AAP has consistently emphasized its bottom-up approach to governance and election strategy, and these new appointments are in line with that philosophy. By assigning proactive, trusted leaders to each seat, the party aims to gain traction in both urban and rural constituencies.
The two leaders released a list of leaders appointed as in-charges and claimed that the selections have been made based on performance, public connect, and grassroots experience.
This development comes amid rising political activity across Punjab as major parties begin to gear up for the 2027 elections. AAP’s focus on organizational depth signals its intent to retain and expand its current footprint in the legislative assembly.
