In the spirit of the theme “In Independence, we find our essence”, Innocent Hearts School celebrated India’s Independence Day through a week-long series of vibrant cultural and creative activities, blending artistic expression, patriotic fervour, and thought-provoking discussions.
The celebrations engaged students from Pre-school to Grade XII across all five campuses — Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road — along with participants from Innocent Hearts College of Education and Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions.
Pre-schoolers enjoyed Hindi Poem Recitation and Unity in Diversity activities . Grades I and II participated in a colourful costume parade “Salute to Freedom Fighters”, Grades III and IV in Patriotic Crafting inspired by national symbols, Grade V in slogan-based poster making, and Grade VI in a Tri-colour Culinary Art activity.
Grades VII and VIII held special assemblies with patriotic poems and speeches, while Grades IX and X engaged in a Patriotic Debate Competition on “Freedom Comes with Responsibility”. Grades XI and XII showcased vibrant dance and song performances, along with an inspiring street play.
The Cultural Committee of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions enriched the festivities with poster making, poetry, skits and group dances.
The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education organised tri-coloured handicrafts and poster making activities on the theme “Viksit Bharat”. The celebrations concluded with pride, unity, and gratitude, honouring India’s heritage and the sacrifices that made independence possible.
