The Punjab Government’s anti-drug initiative ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, in coordination with the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, demolished a illegal construction belonging to infamous drug peddler on Friday.
Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur informed that the illegal construction of Honey Kalyanwas razed in Abadpura. Honey is a infamous drug trafficker with 5 FIRs registered against him.
Divulging the details, Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur said that such operation will remain continue in coming days as a strong message to the drug mafia. This will act at a catalyst in creating detterenace among those involved in such heinous crime, she added.
She reaffirmed the commitment of the Commissionerate Police to uproot drug networks entirely and appealed to citizens to share drug-related information through the government’s WhatsApp number 9779-100-200, assuring full confidentiality of informants.
Meanwhile, residents welcomed the initiative terming it a desicive war against drug abuse.
