Malerkotla MLA Jamil Ur Rehman Joins Delhi Protest over NEET Paper Leak

Malerkotla/New Delhi, July 23, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

Malerkotla MLA Dr Mohammad Jamil Ur Rehman joined students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the alleged NEET paper leak and demanded a fair, time-bound investigation into the matter.

Addressing the protesters, Dr Rehman said the hard work and future of lakhs of students could not be allowed to suffer because of irregularities in the examination system.

He said incidents of paper leaks weaken students’ confidence in competitive examinations and called upon the Centre to ensure strict legal action against those found responsible.

The MLA also demanded stronger laws and effective safeguards to prevent similar incidents in the future and restore transparency and credibility in the education and examination system.

Dr Rehman said the Union Education Minister should accept moral responsibility and resign from office. He added that securing justice for affected students and restoring their faith in the examination process should be the government’s immediate priority.

He said the Aam Aadmi Party would continue to support students and raise its voice for transparency, accountability and fairness in the education system.

The protesting students also demanded stringent action against those responsible for the alleged leak and reforms to prevent examination-related irregularities.
