Actress Aanchal Singh has shared an emotional note after her wedding to longtime boyfriend Mohit Chawla, reflecting on marriage, family and the new relationships that come with the beginning of a new chapter.
The Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein actress said marriage does not mean a daughter leaves behind her first home, but instead carries that bond forward while welcoming another family into her life.
Sharing pictures from her wedding celebrations on Instagram, Aanchal wrote about the transition from “you and me” to “us” and described the significance of wedding rituals, blessings and promises made during the ceremony.
She said a daughter does not stop belonging to one home after marriage, but enters another while carrying the love, memories and values of her first home with her.
According to Aanchal, the beauty of marriage lies not in leaving one identity behind or becoming someone else’s, but in expanding one’s world with more people to love, more blessings to cherish and another family to call one’s own.
The actress also thanked both families and expressed gratitude for the traditions and blessings that brought the couple together, while looking forward to creating new memories.
Recently, in an interaction with IANS, Aanchal spoke about the inspiration behind her bridal look. She revealed that her choice of a classic red wedding outfit was connected to a special memory with her mother.
Aanchal recalled that her mother had once expressed a wish to see her as a bride in a beautiful shade of red after watching Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. The actress said that thought stayed with her and eventually became part of her wedding vision.
