Actress Shilpa Shinde received an emotional welcome from elderly women and well-wishers after returning to her shelter home in Karjat following her successful stint on ‘Lock Upp Season 2’.
The former ‘Bigg Boss 11’ winner shared a video of her homecoming on social media, showing elderly women performing an ‘aarti’ and warmly greeting her as she arrived at the shelter.
Expressing her gratitude for the affection she received, Shilpa wrote, “Back home after Lock Upp.. Itna saara pyaar aur support dekh kar aisa lag raha hai jaise main hi winner ban gayi hoon!! Dil se thank you, everyone!”
The actress’s return to Karjat comes after she made several personal revelations during her time on ‘Lock Upp Season 2’, including details about her strained relationship with her family.
Shilpa had claimed that she was asked to leave her Mumbai home just days after undergoing shoulder surgery. She said that although she has a family, her estrangement from them often left her feeling like an orphan.
According to the actress, differences with her younger brother and his wife eventually affected her relationship with her mother. She said her self-respect prompted her to leave the house late at night.
Shilpa also revealed that she had largely moved away from Mumbai and now considers Karjat her primary home. She said she had not met her mother for a long time and had not visited her in Karjat despite her requests.
Meanwhile, following the ‘Lock Upp’ Season 2 finale, the show’s host and filmmaker organised a lavish success party for the contestants and other participants. Shilpa, however, was notably absent from the celebration.
Her latest homecoming video offered a glimpse of the warmth and affection she shares with the residents and well-wishers at her Karjat shelter home.
