AISA to Launch Month-Long ‘Gen Z Rising’ Campaign Led by Neha Bora from August 7

New Delhi, August 6, 2026 (Yes Punjab News)

The All India Students’ Association (AISA) on Thursday announced the launch of a month-long nationwide campaign titled “Gen Z Rising”, which will begin on August 7 with the aim of expanding its outreach on education reforms and youth employment issues.

In a statement, the student organisation said the campaign would be led by its All India President Neha Bora, who will embark on a multi-state tour beginning from Ranchi. The initiative seeks to build on the momentum of the recent Jantar Mantar protest and promote dialogue with students and young people across the country.

According to AISA, the campaign is being launched in the backdrop of the NEET UG 2026 controversy and the subsequent removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The organisation said it would continue to press for reforms in the education sector through peaceful public engagements.

Neha Bora is scheduled to visit centres across Jharkhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and several other states during the campaign.

The first phase of the tour includes programmes in Kolkata (August 11), Jaipur (August 14), Hyderabad (August 16-17), Vijayawada (August 18), Chennai (August 20), Calicut (August 22), Bengaluru (August 23), Mumbai (August 25), Pune (August 26), Nagpur (August 27) and Bhubaneswar (August 29). AISA said the schedule for Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana would be announced separately.

The campaign will also feature participation from fellow hunger strikers and movement leaders, including Danish Ali, Manish and Aameen Amitoj, among others.

AISA said its key demands include the abolition of the National Testing Agency (NTA), repeal of the National Education Policy (NEP), and measures to ensure quality education and employment opportunities for young people.

The organisation also cited data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) to highlight concerns over youth unemployment, alleging that contractual employment and recent labour policy changes have adversely impacted job opportunities.

According to AISA, the “Gen Z Rising” campaign aims to mobilise students and youth across India through peaceful outreach programmes centred on education, employment and public policy issues.
