Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra on Thursday said all construction-related work at the Ram Temple complex, along with the Ram Katha Museum, is expected to be completed by March 2027.
Speaking to reporters in Ayodhya, Misra said an initial review of the ongoing work had been conducted and construction inside the temple premises was expected to be completed by September 30.
“An initial review was conducted yesterday. One conclusion that has emerged is that the construction work within the temple premises will be completed by September 30. After October 30, the employees of Larsen & Toubro and Tata will leave from here. Only the auditorium work, being carried out by the State Construction Corporation, and the museum work will continue. All these works are expected to be completed by March 2027,” he said.
Misra identified the museum as the biggest challenge, particularly because of the advanced technology being developed to present its scripted content.
He said 20 galleries would showcase different aspects of Lord Ram’s life and journey. Gallery 7, for instance, will depict the smaller temples within the complex, allowing devotees to experience their ‘darshan’ through advanced immersive technology.
Gallery 17 will showcase the rivers crossed by Lord Ram during his exile and the messages associated with his journey, he said.
“The technology will be decided for each gallery individually,” Misra said, adding that experts from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras were working on the innovations.
He expressed hope that devotees would be allowed to visit the museum after February-March 2027.
Misra also said payments to contractors engaged by Larsen & Toubro, Tata and other agencies were being reviewed in detail to ensure that no construction-related work remained incomplete by the end of this year.
