Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has opened up about the challenges and turbulent phases he has left behind, drawing a parallel between his journey and the history of the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.
Orry shared a reflective note from the Cape of Good Hope, recalling that the location was once known as the ‘Cape of Storms’ before being renamed the ‘Cape of Good Hope’. He reflected on how travellers crossing stormy seas eventually find a new light and a path ahead, describing it as a hope that emerges after overcoming hardships.
Addressing Rohit Shetty, he wrote, “Dear Rohit ji, Kehte hain is jagah ka naam pehle ‘Cape of Storms’ tha, jise baad mein ‘Cape of Good Hope’ kaha gaya.”
He went on to relate the symbolism of the place to his own experiences, writing that after leaving behind “so many turns, challenges and turbulent phases”, he had reached a point of balance and an open horizon.
Orry further wrote that every difficult journey eventually brings “a ray of hope” that gives one the courage to move forward. He also wished that Rohit Shetty was moving towards his new destinations with the same strength and determination.

Orry was recently eliminated from the 15th season of the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.
